Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Dr. Aardsma's Math Drill.

Over 20 years ago, Dr. Gerald Aardsma was sitting across from his six-year-old daughter Jennifer, and holding up a homemade math flash card. Jennifer sat there, staring at the ceiling. Dr. Aardsma was waiting, but it didn't look like Jennifer was going to give the answer any time soon.

Dr. Aardsma had been spending time each evening working on math facts with Jennifer. He knew the importance of building a solid foundation with basic math facts - he had just graduated with a degree in nuclear physics after years of studying math and science. He was willing to make the investment of time to ensure Jennifer got off to a good start in math, but there had to be a better way.

You see, Jennifer knew the correct answer - she was a smart math student - but after many evenings of math flash cards, apparently she thought it was getting a little boring. She seemed to find it more interesting to test her instructor's patience with unnecessary delays and intentional wrong answers.

Dr. Aardsma decided to create a software program that would take the frustration out of math facts drills, and save him all that time each evening. He created Dr. Aardsma's Math Drill, and it worked. Jennifer went on to do very well in math, and Dr. Aardsma's didn't have to deal with the time and frustration of manual flash card drills at all anymore.

Since then a lot has changed. Jennifer graduated from college several years ago and now has children of her own. Dr. Aardsma's Math Drill has grown into a professional software package used by parents and teachers across the U.S. to take the time and frustration out of drilling math facts, and to help their students achieve success.

Dr. Aardsma's Math Drill is a powerful learning tool, but it's not for everyone. The following screens are a brief tour with lots of information to help you decide if Dr. Aardsma's Math Drill is right for you. Please choose one of the following options to get started:

I am a parent and/or teacher looking for math software to purchase.
I am a student looking for web sites that offer on-line math practice.
